What is Parts Master?
Every Fishbowl part appears here. You control which ones customers see, what they're called, and which configurators they appear in. Fishbowl is never modified — Parts Master is purely a customer-facing overlay.
Recommended Workflow
- Click ✨ AI Classify on the Unclassified tab — Claude reads each part description and fills in category, color, width, and a suggested customer label
- Review each row inline — correct anything AI got wrong directly in the cell
- Check the Configurator boxes for each part (Canvas, TruSim, etc.)
- Set the Customer Label — what customers actually see in the dropdown
- Flip Visible on — the part immediately appears in that configurator
Column Guide
- Part # — Fishbowl part number. Read-only.
- FB Description — Original Fishbowl description. Read-only. Never changed.
- AI Description — What AI suggested as the customer label (italic purple). Use this as a starting point for Customer Label.
- Category — Fabric (sold by yard) / Trim (edge material) / Component (hardware). AI fills this in, you can change it.
- On Hand — Current Fishbowl inventory. Read-only, syncs nightly.
- Customer Label — What customers see in the dropdown. Be descriptive: "2" White Loop Velcro", "#4 Brass Grommet".
- Color — Drives SVG drawing and print output. Use: white, black, natural, silver, brass.
- Width" — In inches. Locks the width on trim cards so customers can't change it independently.
- Subtype — hook, loop, webbing, grommet, dring, etc. Controls which section of the configurator it appears in.
- Configurator checkboxes — Check each configurator where this part should appear. Adding a new configurator automatically adds a new column here.
- Visible — Master on/off switch. Only turn on after label and configurator are set.
- ● — Save indicator: grey=unchanged, amber=unsaved changes, green=saved, purple=saving.
Row Color (left stripe)
- ■ Green — Visible, label set ✓
- ■ Amber — Visible but label missing ⚠
- ■ Grey — Hidden from customers
- ■ Blue — Not yet classified
💡 Changes auto-save 1 second after you stop typing. The dot on the right turns green when saved.
